If you want to cut down on the junk mail you receive, you can register with the Mailing Preference Service in a number of ways. The Mailing Preference Service is free and it will update its database for direct mailing companies to see and adjust their lists as you request.

Recycling your junk mail
Junk mail can also be recycled through your local kerbside recycling scheme or paper recycling banks once the plastic and envelopes have been removed.
