The household waste and recycling sites in East Riding and the household waste and recycling centres in Hull are an important part of both councils strategy for collecting recyclable waste, preventing it from going to landfill.
There are 10 sites within access of towns and villages in the East Riding. In 2008 East Riding of Yorkshire Council carried out a review of the sites to identify improvements and consider possible locations for new sites.
Hull has four state-of-the-art household waste and recycling centres located within easy reach of households across the city. The centres have been specially designed to make recycling as easy as possible.
